The Kennedy Health System is an integrated healthcare delivery system providing a full range of health care services, ranging from acute care hospitals to a broad spectrum of out-patient and wellness programs. A multi-site provider, Kennedy services the residents of Camden, Burlington and Gloucester counties in Southern New Jersey. Kennedy has three hospital campuses: Cherry Hill, Stratford and Washington Township (Turnersville). In 1965, what is now the Stratford campus was established as John F. Kennedy Hospital. Kennedy Hospital became formally affiliated with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1977. Kennedy became a multi-hospital system with the purchase of the Cherry Hill Medical Center and Washington Township Memorial Hospital in 1980.
Some of Kennedy Health System’s impressive facts and figures include the facilities 25 mile geographic span and more than 750,000 square feet encompassing 614 licensed beds and 15 operating rooms. More than 17,000 surgical cases are performed each year at Kennedy Health System. Thirty-four thousand inpatient admissions, almost 240,000 outpatient admissions, more than 114,000 emergency room visits and 1,400 babies are delivered each year at Kennedy facilities. The health system has 3,500 employees and 300 volunteers. Approximately 700 volunteer and UMDNJ practice physicians provide medical care for patients in the Kennedy facilities.

Significant capital upgrades to the three acute care facilities are currently underway including new ORs and pathology lab at the Washington Township campus, a new Emergency Department and ORs at Stratford, and several facility upgrades at Cherry Hill.
Kennedy Health System is seeking a customer focused, high energy, and team-oriented nursing leader to play a key role in transforming the 60,000 visit Emergency Department at the Washington Township (Turnersville) campus. The ED Nurse Manager reports directly to the Assistant Vice President, Clinical Services at the Washington Township campus.
The nurse manager will serve as a member of the Corporate Director and Nursing Management Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping to achieve the highest quality healthcare in a clinically and fiscally accountable manner. The Emergency Department Manager will be responsible for 55 RN FTEs, 21 Tech FTEs and 8 Administrative FTEs. The Emergency Department is comprised of 29 acute care bays and 10 express care bays.
